Ep. 112 Knight

This week we review the Park Starz 2 and Park 12 lineups in detail. Also, with the leak of Urban Redux at DHS, we talk about the twists Disney added to this rebooted series. There is also news about DCL, Studio Store and Monsters University figures, a Vinylmation egg hunt and a major change to Disney’s Vinylmation Blog. Of course we have a full release and events calendar as well.

    • You are correct. I realized that later. Actually none of the photos I personally have, are them in blue.

  1. Nick, I haven’t heard you and MC this excited over any Vinylmation series in a LONG time when you were talking about the Urban Redux type possibilities. It reminded me of the old days of the early podcasts. You sounded like a kids in a candy store!

    • Thanks Brad! It has been a while. Any hobby will go through ups and downs, but I always knew, from talking to the artists, that the future of Vinylmation was bright. It did go through a lull, but Redux, Park Starz 2, Park 12 and Animation 3 have me excited. I honestly think people who talk about Vinylmation dying may not be collecting for the sake of actually enjoying the designs. If you collect what is fun and what you like, you can still see the possibilities are endless for this product. You are right, I wasn’t excited for a few months where there was a lull in Disney Design Group sets and a ton of Disney Store non-Disney themed products… but the past few weeks of news have things back on track.

      • I think Urban Redux has been a breath of fresh air, its been great to see people excited about the new series even though its not a “Disney” series. But is that just because of the hunt for super chasers and variants? I still think all these ideas from redux are a fantastic way forward and while I don’t want to see it used in every series, between the normal sets, the mini (8) like urban and maxi (16) like en vogue sets is a great move forward… Vinylmation is changing and we have to adjust our thoughts on what we like and collect….
