Well, I hate to say we told you so… so I’ll just link to our previous ticket price increase story.

Ticket price increases for Walt Disney World will go into effect Sunday, February 22nd, 2015 with a one-day Magic Kingdom ticket priced at $105.00 (Plus tax) and a one-day ticket for one of the other three parks moving up to $97.00 (plus tax). Ticket prices across the board will be going up as well and will do so around the same increments as they did last year at this time.

The bigger news today is that a one-day water park ticket is now automatically a water park hopper ticket, so when buying the ticket, you won’t have to choose which water park you visit, you can visit either Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon or both in the same day.

Finally, last but not least, the no-expiration ticket option will be no more come Sunday. This option allowed guests to save any unused days on their tickets for a later trip.

We expect Disney to make a formal announcement before Sunday.

Shouldn’t it be Feb. 22, 2015? It stinks either way.

What if you already have a no expiration ticket that you have not used, but planning to use this summer???

You can still use it. Unused no expiration tickets are good until you use them. You just won’t be able to purchase the no expiration option next time you buy tickets.

Hi, question please, Can I add days to our no expiration ticket that you have not used yet after Feb 22? Have 5 day no expires, have never use a day on them yet, but want to add 5 more when we get back to WDW in Oct

You will not be able to add days onto your non-expiring passes once that option is taken off the system (tomorrow). Sorry!

Thanks for the info! If I book our Sept 2015 trip now but call back later in the summer to change dates and/or add the free dining promo (if applicable), would I still keep the cheaper price? I’m just not sure what exact dates we’re able to go yet.

Changing the reservation will negate any pass savings you lock in right now. Your best bet to save money would be to buy your passes now and look for a discount offer or code for the summer months. The bonus to this: You’ll save money overall (free dining really isn’t free as you’re paying bloated room prices, it’s become nothing more than a marketing gimmick) and you don’t have to worry about how to use your credits. Eat as you like!

Well I guess that will make our Disney trips cost prohibitive if we cannot buy the no expiration tickets add on. What a joke I guess Disney will become a visit of the past for us.
