For a limited time, a sneak peek of “Tomorrowland” will be presented with special in-theater effects at the Imagination Pavilion theater at Epcot and the Tomorrowland Theater at Disneyland park, current and former homes to the Magic Eye Theater and the Captain EO attraction starring Michael Jackson. At Disneyland, you will also be able to discover an exhibit inspired by the movie, featuring production artwork and props used in the “Tomorrowland” film.
Captain EO closed at Disneyland last year and the now-renamed Tomorrowland Theater has hosted sneak peeks for Guardians of the Galaxy and Big Hero 6 since then, meanwhile Captain EO has never returned as promised. It will be interesting to see if it ever does and if the April closure of Captain EO at Epcot is the final curtain for the 1986 classic in Florida. Only time will tell…
The Disney Parks-exclusive “Tomorrowland” sneak peek begins in mid-April at Epcot and Disneyland park. “Tomorrowland” opens in theaters on May 22, 2015.
So how are they going to handle admission? Will it be a hard ticket, FP+…?
I’m pretty sure it will be included in park admission, like how they had sneak peeks for Malefecient and Cinderella before. They aren’t showing the whole movie.
Ah, ok. Thanks, Amy. I was under the assumption they were going to show the entire movie.
YES! Thank you Disney! I’ve been hoping they’d start using this theater for anything more modern and creative than that Capt’n EO 1980s mess. Previews of new movies yet to come fit the bill just fine in my book.
We shall see how you change your tune when 5 months after the movie has come and gone, the preview is still playing at the theater.
Do you even like WDW, or do you just come here to troll those who do?
what he says is true though
I don’t own a time machine, so I’ll have to take your word for it.
I love WDW. I also love bringing common sense to discussions like this one. Especially to people like you who can’t properly read an article and comment on it.
Just made my fast pass + choices for upcoming trip in late June, captain eo had “closed for refurbishment” next to it, not that I would have used one on it.
