The Rivers of Light show may be behind schedule, but the new viewing area for the nighttime spectacular is out from behind construction walls and the details that can now be found just across the path from Expedition Everest are among the best ever seen in any Disney theme park:

On the Asia side, guests using FastPass+ to see the show will be greeted by this gateway

  1. From what I read on Motleyfool you’re going to need a fastpass for this, as the show’s seating capacity tops out at 5000 people (1/6 of the parks average daily attendance). Thankfully there will be a least two showings.

  2. From the moment I first set foot in DAK many years ago, it’s been my favorite park. The theming continues to be absolutely top notch, as evidenced by these awesome photos (and the ‘new’ Lion King Theater and Harambe Market). Well done!

  3. Looks like they ran out money building the second seating area. I hope i am wrong and they will theme it like the first area…

    • I think they are trying to make it fit in with the background. The section near Asia is highly themed as that area. The section near the plain looking theater is…well…plain looking.
