Disney Vacation Club members have often complained how far it can be sometimes to get from their resort room to the front of the hotel’s main lobby. If a guest staying at Bay Lake Tower wanted to valet park their car, they would have to walk all the way down to the front of the main building of the resort next door, a lengthy hike for a paid add-on service. Well, Bay Lake Tower is now testing a valet parking service for guests of the hotel, located right at the main entrance of the Bay Lake Tower building.

The test could mean a roll-out to other Disney Vacation Club resorts with their own separate entrances (Grand Floridian, ETC.), but may also be paving the way for a major milestone in the Disney Vacation Club that we unfortunately aren’t ready to disclose just yet…

In addition, rumor has it that Magical Express may soon offer to drop Bay Lake Tower and other DVC resort guests off at the front door of their resorts, rather than dropping them off at the often distant main lobby of the hotel overall.

  1. I’ll take a guess at what the “major milestone” could be, a DVC members entrance to the parks?

  2. Lengthy walk? Alright, it can be a bit of a long walk, but everywhere at Disney World is a walk!

For those staying at BLT and are DVC members, it would be nice to have parking spaces closer to the building. I do see and hear from other Annual Passholders and DVC members that they park at BLT all the time just to walk over to the MK or have some food / drinks and watch the fireworks. I was one but found it is quicker to park and get on an off the monorail at the Contemporary. We have waited around after the fireworks and done other things if the park stays open later because most people leave with kids after the fireworks – then it becomes almost an adult park!

I wonder how this valet parking is going to pan out for us DVC members. Who wants to pay $25 for valet. Here is a tip, if you belong to Tables in Wonderland (a membership program) and have a reservation at the Contemporary, you can utilize valet parking and then bring out your receipt from dining, and like magic, your valet parking is FREE!

  3. I remember when valet parking was a free perk of DVC.

Now it is another way to gouge every last cent from guests.

I noticed last week the BLT valet section, which can hold app 40 cars, never had more than 5 at any time.

Great way to treat your supposedly best guests.

  4. Oh no, did DVC members have to walk a few extra steps to get to their car? Horrors!!! So glad this very important issue is finally being addressed. Please…

  5. I am so tired of hearing about additional perks for DVC, annual pass and Florida residents! It’s demeaning for all others.
