Every now and then, the props in the queue of the Great Movie Ride at Disney’s Hollywood Studios are switched out. Over the years, the exhibit space has been home to hundreds of legendary pieces of film history, from the chess table in Star Wars: A New Hope, to actual costuming pieces from Gone with the Wind, and so much more. This week, a new prop arrived for display. Some people call it “a transmitter… A radio for speaking to God…”

  1. The original prop was crude, this one looks like the one I built for the 25th anniversary party in Las Vegas. The rings on my were bronze castings and are a slightly different color because the gilder could get the plating right.

  2. Joy to see! I think this is the only reference to the old testament that has ever been on Disney property. I think Walt would be proud. I know I am!
