Disney today announced two new restaurants for Disney Springs as work ramps up on the West Side, essentially phase 2 of the project.
Opening in 2018 on the West Side is Jaleo, a concept by world-renowned Chef José Andrés’ ThinkFoodGroup. Bringing the spirit and flavors of Spain, the Disney Springs restaurant will feature an extensive menu of tapas that reflect the rich regional diversity of traditional and contemporary Spanish cuisine, such as paella cooked over a wood fire, hand-carved Jamon Iberico de Bellota and wood-grilled Iberico pork. With five locations in the United States and Mexico City, this will be the first location in Florida. The first floor of the multi-level restaurant will feature a “grab-n-go” storefront with Spanish-style sandwiches. Designed by noted Spanish designer Juli Capella, the multi-level space will feature vibrant, theatrical décor representing the colorful culture of Spain.
Also in 2018, a new Wolfgang Puck concept will open in a new location in Town Center. Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill, will modernize the traditional “bar and grill” concept in a setting inspired by traditional farmhouses with a touch of elegance. The restaurant, designed by tonychi, will capture the essence of laid-back California dining made popular by Puck at Spago, his flagship restaurant in Los Angeles. The menu will highlight the best of Puck’s signature dishes with Mediterranean influences, innovative takes on comfort food classics and handcrafted specialty cocktails, beer and wine.
It’s interesting that Wolfgang Puck and the Walt Disney Company are continuing to work together after their debacle at Disney’s California Adventure.
I wonder if the two existing buildings will be redesigned? Maybe the WestSide’s “elevated track” concept will finally be completed. It’s odd with linking sections currently missing.
The elevated track sections are not “missing” there were never any plans to have them connect. The only thing that was cut was that the section near the food trucks was supposed to have a seating area on top, but for some reason that plan changed. I understand that they were trying to make this like the Highline in NYC, but it never really worked for me.
WoW????
Sounds fantastic!!

Sound Awesome!
Sounds Amazing!
Sounds great. Wish some of these concepts would make their way to Downtown Disney in CA.
so then what happens to the original wolfgang puck resturaunt
Jaleo is taking the place of Wolfgang Pucks location in the West Side. Puck is moving to a new building which will be built in the empty area next to Coke.
Glad you cleared that up. As I was reading the article I was thinking, “so there’s going to be THREE Wolfgang Puck restaurants in Disney Springs?!”
There is an Jaleo in Washington, DC. The food is amazing and they make a great sangria. Prices are a bit higher than a normal restaurant, but you are able to try a larger variety of items tapas style, and can just keep adding items if you still have an appetite. Bravo Jose Andes and Disney!
Would it be possible for Disney to add a “meat and potatoes” restaurant with reasonable (by Disney standards) prices; and that didn’t necessarily feature Tex/Mex/Cuban/Puerto Rican/South American flavors? There must be other “flavors” that would be viable.
IS WOLFGANG PUCKS EXPRESS IN THE MARKETPLACE STAYING OR GOING?
