Not to be outdone by Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios also now has a new Starbucks “You Are Here” mug for sale at the Trolley Car Cafe on Hollywood Boulevard.

The new mug does away with Fantasmic! and some other park icons, featuring the park entrance, Tower of Terror, Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster, and the upcoming Alien Swirling Saucers attraction for Toy Story Land (opening Summer 2018).

  1. Adding unopened attraction artwork to the mugs is maybe over-confident and gutsy. Yet, somehow I like it! It reminds me Disney used to put the future attractions on park maps the year before as if to say “come back next year”. A bold move but a very Disney move to build excitement. Epcot mug will be insane and 75% unrecognizable if they do same move for that park (a giant rat in chef hat next to the Eiffel tower and Groot waving at us from behind Spaceship Earth?).

PS – they have to work on the name Alien Swirling Saucers, the acronym is unfortunate. Same devious imagineers who came up with MILF (Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor)?

  2. Realistically the brown box is what the construction wall ridden park currently looks like. It’s as if Disney is saying “we got your money sucker come back in three or four years when its worth the full price, as you wait we also closed the flagship attraction but enjoy this off the shelf carvinal ride based on not even secondary tier characters (7th or 8th maybe) from Toy Story that might open next year.” Exciting I can’t wait to pay full price to visit a mostly closed park. What a bold Mickey Mouse move. Classic Disney its what Walt and Star Lord would want

    • “Mostly closed”…

      Attractions that are closed:
Honey, I Infected the Kids Snot Ridden Playground
      Fake Buildings
      The Backlot Snore
      Lights, Motors, Repetition
      The Once Great Movie Ride
      Christmas Tree Lights

      Attractions that are open:
      Tower of Terror
      Rock N Rollercoaster
      Toy Story Midway Mania
      Star Tours
      Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular
      Little Mermaid
      Beauty and the Beast
      Frozen Sing Along
      Fantasmic
      Star Wars fireworks
      Muppet Vision 3D
      Celebrity Spotlight
      Star Wars Launch Bay

So, no…not mostly closed, and the things that are closed, besides the Great Movie Ride, were tired and useless anyway.

      • Ouch and I thought I was insulting!! Though, Honey, I Infected the Kids Snot Ridden Playground, very original title!! :)

  3. Four open rides
Toy Story mania aka the old 90s Disneyquest pirate ride without a plot or a reason for cannons

Tower of marvel free IP terror

Rock N roller coaster shocker free

Star tours its not the same simulator ride that casinos have gotten rid of

The rest of the open “attractions” are a glorfied giftshop (Launch Bay) or more then decade old shows that look better watched on youtube. Spin that DJ
