The a capella music troupe known as American Music Machine that performed at the America Gardens Theater at Epcot is no more as of September 30th.
A five-member, contemporary a cappella group, American Music Machine provided “performances that conveyed the global influence of American popular music”. The group’s repertoire included a diverse range of contemporary and classic American pop hits, all presented in a unique style created by ground-breaking vocal arranger Tim Davis, whose previous credits include the hit TV series “Glee.”
The act was quietly retired over the weekend, with no replacement announced or expected.
The singers were talented. Well put together show. Not sure all the songs fit the theme they were going for though. And I really disliked that Disney opted to discontinue the fife & drum corps in favor of going this route, which only dealt with American history as it applies to music. I hope they move forward with something tied into the American idea — freedom through independence & equal justice.
the idea that Disney would retire the fife & drum corp never made any sense to me. they were all about America.
They will be replaced the GlitchHop sounds of Bob Chapek.
When I thi-thi-thi-think about you, I reprogram mysel-elf…
If they made a movie ’bout you and me,
It would go straight to DVVVVDDDDDDDDDDDD
