VIDEO: Sample the New Background Music Loops of Disney’s Hollywood Studios

With the announcement earlier today that all of the background music loops at Disney’s Hollywood Studios were changing, we decided to head over and check them out. Below is a video featuring some 20-30 second clips of the park areas where new music can be heard:

Personally, I will miss the old music loops, but these turned out much better than I expected. The Mickey Avenue music somehow works really well at the park entrance, despite that being my greatest concern. The really hard loss is the Great Movie Ride area loop that is now dead, removing the final vestiges of the Wizard of Oz, Gone with the Wind, and many other classic films from the park.

So, what do you think of the changes?

  1. Note I haven’t watched the video just yet but does this affect the queue music in Tower of Terror? That is one of my all time favorite loops and would be very disappointed if it was replaced.

  2. “Heigh-Ho” sounds like the Flinstones theme. Does Disney hate Hollywood Studios or do they just hate the people who visit it?

  3. As a swing dancer and huge fan of big band music, I love it. I also like how the music is congruous to the architecture. I think it creates more identity for the street scenes as you experience them rather than the vanishing fiction that you are seeing a movie being made. I’m curious if they also changed the music on the WDW transportation busses.
