Disney’s “A Wrinkle in Time,” an epic adventure from visionary director Ava DuVernay based on Madeleine L’Engle’s timeless classic, takes audiences across dimensions of time and space, examining the nature of darkness versus light and, ultimately, the triumph of love. This film is going to be such a flop, it’s not even funny. Even that shot of Oprah with all the glitter make-up on makes me question if it’s a sick and twisted burlesque show or what (wow, I gagged on a bit of vomit thinking of that…)
This just looks like the cinematic equivalent of a trash fire.
There’s a lot of folks who are finally getting to see themselves reflected back in a big fantasy film like this. It’s a rare sight in Hollywood, and it’s not overlooked by many out there who rarely get to see representation like this.
