Classic Disney Fans, gather around and let’s work together to make this Steamboat Willie Lego set a reality. Lego Ideas is a program that lets fans submit their designs to the company. The model needs to be created, photographed, and submitted, along with a convincing proposal as to why this Lego set should become a reality.
The creator of this set has already set up a proposal, explaining why everyone needs this in their home: “Steamboat Willie is the first fully synchronized sound cartoon directed by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks. It was the debut of Mickey Mouse in a cartoon, the first to be distributed and the third to be produced,” he says. “So as an animator and a LEGO fan I’d like to pay my respect to that marvelous production, which…inspired a lot of talented artists.”
He has me sold. This set, which would include 156 bricks, needs 10,000 votes before the company will review it and decide on if they’re going to make this an official Lego set.
