New Art Exhibit Coming to Epcot’s The American Adventure Gallery This Summer

Coming this summer to the American Heritage Gallery at The American Adventure is a new exhibit called “Creating Tradition: Innovation and Change in American Indian Art.”

“Creating Tradition: Innovation and Change in American Indian Art” is a product of collaboration efforts between Museum of Indian Arts and Culture (MIAC) in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI) in Washington, D.C.

Featured artists include fashion designer Loren Aragon (Acoma Pueblo), doll maker Glenda McKay (Ingalik-Athabascan), and Juanita Growing Thunder (Assinboine Sioux) from the Growing Thunder family of Montana. Each of these artists will have works on display during this exhibit.

This exhibition will feature interactive elements, where select artists will share their creative process and inspirations behind their works. While there’s no opening date yet, keep checking back for when you can visit this exciting new exhibit.

Presenting exhibitions and cultural experiences to guests is no stranger to Epcot World Showcase, as they’ve had many throughout years from live entertainment, cultural representation of Cast Members, film experiences showcasing each country, architecture, and dining experiences throughout World Showcase. This includes the art gallery in Mexico that we’ve previously mentioned, and future exhibits in Norway.
