As we told you a few weeks ago, a restoration of the roof and facade of the Wonders of Life pavilion in Epcot’s Future World is currently underway.

With the adjacent site being prepared for the Guardians of the Galaxy roller coaster, the Wonders of Life pavilion’s backstage area is exposed to guest views from the Epcot parking lot.

The large building you see in the foreground is the show building for the former Body Wars attraction. The Wonders of Life dome didn’t actually contain either of the full-fledged attractions in the pavilion, they were housed in their own buildings attached to the dome.

Slowly but surely, the restoration continues. It has still not made it to the front of the building where it would be visible from inside of the park.

The pavilion is no longer being used for the Festival Center at the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival as of this year, but Disney has yet to unveil any plans for the space. It is worth noting that this building is not expected to be the announced Space Restaurant, as that is more likely going to be attached to the exiting Mission: SPACE building.

  1. I don’t recall being able to see it from the parking lot previously. Was it always exposed, or did they recently remove trees or other obstructions?

  2. Yuck I wonder if the carpet walls still reek of vomit. All I remember from Body Ways was the constant smell of vomit and it being really hot in the ride cabins. Kind of like Mission Space it always reeks of vomit, gas or body oder

  3. Are they going to close star tours in Hollywood studios? And if they are…are they moving the ride vehicles back over to this pavilion for a new simulator ride attraction for this revitalized pavilion?
