Another week, another new song from the Broadway Musical of Frozen that will officially premiere on March 22. With Monster and What Do You Know About Love? still in our heads, we can now listen to the third (of twelve) new songs from the musical, all written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. Dangerous to Dream is the title of this second new Elsa song that serves as her Act 1 interior monologue, during her coronation.

Elsa (Caissie Levy) tries to hide her powers from the guests and she wishes to reconnect with Anna. In the movie, this is a close-up with no lines and that would not work on stage, according to Robert Lopez. This half of the songwriter duo explains the meaning of Dangerous to Dream to USA Today: “We decided to write an ‘I want’ song for a character who’s not allowed to want anything, and what she would want if she could but she knows she can’t.” You can listen to the new song below.

Next week, we can expect the last song from the four previews, True Love, an Anna (Patti Murin) solo song. What do you think about Dangerous to Dream?
