Logo Discoveryland Theatre Disneyland ParisSunday, March 4th, was the last show of Star Wars: Path of the Jedi in the Discoveryland Theatre in Disneyland Paris. From Monday, guests could no longer experience this 10-minute synopsis of the first seven Star Wars films.

Since 1992, the theater’s opening year, the Discoveryland Theatre showed 3D film Captain EO with Michael Jackson, 4D film Honey, I Shrunk the Audience and trailers for Disney films or short movies as during the Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival. Since May 2017, the theatre was used to give the audience a short introduction to the Star Wars universe, with its location next to the rides Hyperspace Mountain and Star Tours: The Adventures Continue.

The closing down of the Discoveryland Theatre comes at a remarkable moment. Following the refurbishment dates, the doors were expected to close in April, and there is a still a few weeks left of the Star Wars-Season of the Force.

The Discoveryland Theatre is expected to open again this fall with a new experience. Does this early closing mean that we can expect a lot of this new use of the theatre? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
