Disney already shared three new songs from their newest Frozen Broadway production: a ballad for Elsa, a duet with Anna and Kristoff and another solo for Elsa. This musical, based on the movie from 2013, contains twelve new songs written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. To prepare us for the premiere on March 22, Disney shared four new songs. Now, one week before the premiere, the last one debuted.
This song is from late in the second act of the new Frozen musical. Anna is left by prince Hans and almost freezes to death when it is time for her big moment. Vulture released the song True Love, performed by Patti Murin (in the clip together with Robert Lopez), which can be listened to below.
There are some musical references to the song Do You Want to Build a Snowman? from the original Frozen movie. True Love references to young Anna’s identity. “It’s a deeper, more sophisticated, grown-up version of the same problem of knocking at a door and no one answering,” Kristen Anderson-Lopez told Vulture.
After the release of the four new songs, we would like to know if you are going to see this Broadway version of Frozen and what you think of this new song. Tell us in the comments!
