While AMC Theatres is a national brand, a theater resides in both Disney Springs and Downtown Disney at the Disneyland Resort. With new movie releases, the theater bars, MacGuffins Bar and Lounge, like to add themed cocktails to commemorate the occasions. With Avengers: Infinity War coming out this week, two new cocktails premiered that match the superhero mood perfectly.
As seen above: The Mad Titan and The Mighty Hero, emulating a Thanos and Captain America vibe.
The Mad Titan – Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Blue Curacao, Cranberry Juice and Grenadine – $12.50
This one tastes nearly identical to blue Powerade. Tito’s vodka mixes very well and masks itself without the need for much more flavor, but the blue curacao mixed with the grenadine gave this a very berry flavor. Unfortunately, this drink didn’t give us any insight into finding the Soul Stone.
The Mighty Hero – Ciroc Red Berry Vodka, Blue Curacao, Sprite, Lime Sour Mix and Grenadine – $12.50
This is the better of the two drinks, as there’s a lot more going on. The lime sour mix adds a nice pucker to the entire drink and the Ciroc Vodka is masked VERY well. Our bartender confirmed this is one of the highest pours they’ve done with promotional drinks, and we certainly felt it.
OVERALL
Both drinks are fun and worth your time if you need an adult beverage to help you get through Avengers: Infinity War this weekend. Remember that tickets are on sale now for Avengers: Infinity War and we HIGHLY recommend purchasing ahead of time, as many showings for this weekend are already sold out.
