Yesterday, April 25th 2018, was a major day for Animal Kingdom’s newest themed land. Both attractions in Pandora: The World of AVATAR were closed for the entire day. Yes, both Na’vi River Journey and Avatar Flight of Passage were closed the entire day this past Wednesday. Both attractions were also down for an extended period on Tuesday, April 24th.
Today, April 26th, Na’vi River Journey will again not operate and Avatar Flight of Passage may not operate at full capacity. This makes nearly two days without some of the most popular attractions at Walt Disney World.
Sources close to the matter tell us that an issue with the fire alarms is resulting in the attraction downtimes. Both Na’vi River Journey and Avatar Flight of Passage are housed in the same show building, which is one massive structure behind the floating mountains of Pandora.
FastPass+ reservations from 4/25 have been rebooked to 4/26 for guests who wish to experience these attractions, pending their opening. Stay tuned as we keep you informed if and when these attractions return to normal operation.
Also closed for hours on Tuesday April 17th due to fire alarm problems. The replacement FP+s had to be obtained from Guest Relations, which took forever. In the end, we didn’t get to use them because they disappeared from our plans on MDE when we arrived a minute or two early or late for a different FP+ attraction per cast members whe we explained our problem – the system took the multiple experience FP+ instead of the actual FP+ designated for the particular attraction.
Yikes, not good. Feel bad for the people at AK those days.
When they’l Be opened?
