It appears that the My Disney Experience app will soon be able to tell you when the next bus is scheduled to stop at your location.

All of the resorts at Walt Disney World received electronic bus wait time signs over the past few years. These helpfully let guests know when a bus for a particular destination is scheduled to be stopping at your location. Think of this feature as the next logical step – putting that information into the palm of your hand. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear that this will make the busses actually come when they’re scheduled.

At this time we do not know when this feature will be rolled out to My Disney Experience users, but we expect that it should appear after an app update in the near future.

Jason has been a lifelong fan of the Disney parks since his first visit at age 2. His biennial pilgrimages during his childhood accelerated into semi-annual visits by the year 2000, when he also Joined the Disney Vacation Club. Luckily, Jason’s bride-to-be was also a Disney fan, which allowed his infatuation with the Disney parks to continue, and ultimately culminated in their wedding at Disney's Wedding Pavilion in September 2003. Early in 2007, Jason began his involvement with the planning for what became Celebration 25, the unofficial fan gathering to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Epcot®. Soon thereafter, Jason met Tom Corless at a pin trading meet in New Jersey, and became part of the WDW News Today podcast starting with Episode 17. Jason has been involved with the WDWNT Network ever since, and can't seem to escape no matter how hard he tries.

  • ” Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear that this will make the busses actually come when they’re scheduled.”

This. The majority of the time the wait times are horribly inaccurate or the screens are blank.

  • I wish WDW would bring back the Express Buses they had about a year ago. They saved time when we were park-hopping, and you didn’t have to go thru security when you went from one park to another.

  • I can already picture it.
Mom or Dad checks their app and sees a bus is arriving in 3 minutes, then sends a kid down to try and hold the bus until the rest of the family can catch up.

Aside from that scenario, I’m pretty happy about this.
