Bruce Rosenblum, President of Disney-ABC Television Group Steps Down Citing Restructuring

Presiden of Disney-ABC Television Group, Bruce Rosenblum, is stepping down. An internal memo sent to staff stated that his reason for resigning was due to the restructuring of The Walt Disney Company that happened back in March. This restructuring saw many of Rosenblum’s responsibilities transferred to Kevin Mayer in the newly minted Disney Direct-to-Consumer and International division.

Rosenblum was at the company for less than two years, but during his time he was in charge of digital media strategy, global distribution, ad sales, consumer insights and media operations.

President of Disney-ABC Television Group, Ben Sherwood, had this to say about Rosenblum:

“After a number of conversations about other possible roles within Disney-ABC, I am sorry to share that Bruce has decided to depart the company at the end of May. I hope you’ll join me in saluting Bruce for the exceptional business acumen and television expertise he brought to our team, thanking him for his many contributions, and wishing him the best in his next endeavors.”

Before joining Disney-ABC in September of 2016 Rosenblum was in charge of Legendary Television. Prior to Legendary Television, Rosenblum served as President of Warner Bros. Television Group from 2005 to 2013.
