The Three Caballeros, the famous 1944 animated film featuring Donald Duck, Jose Carioca, and Panchito, just recently inspired a TV show by Disney. However, the majority of the world cannot see the film as it was exclusively made for the Disneylife app in the Phillippines.
Legend of The Three Caballeros is the title of the show, and according to Frank Angones, co-producer of Ducktales, this show was finished before even Ducktales was made. What is interesting is that the show was produced by Disney Interactive and not Disney Television Animation which makes most of the Disney TV shows.
Disneylife is an on-demand app feature a myriad of Disney movies and TV shows that is available in the U.K., Ireland, and now the Phillippines. Legend of The Three Caballeros is not available in the European version of the app and as such is exclusive to the Phillippines.
No word as to if the tv show will make its way into Europe or the US on the variety of streaming platforms available to consumers.
