After years of waiting, Square Enix has finally confirmed that Kingdom Hearts III will be released on January 29, 2019 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
This is a slight delay from the originally promised 2018 release, but this is the first time a specific date has been locked down for the game. For those that simply need to have the game sooner, Kingdom Hearts III will release in Japan on January 25, 2019, a whole four days earlier.

Square Enix made the announcement at 1:30am ET Sunday morning during the kickoff of the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra – World Tour, despite the fact that the company has an E3 press conference Monday morning.
Franchise director Tetsuya Nomura took this announcement as an opportunity to apologize for the delay, but promised that more information and new trailers would be released during the Square Enix E3 press conference on Monday, June 11.
We’ve announced the release day for KINGDOM HEARTS III ahead of E3 at the KINGDOM HEARTS Orchestra -World Tour-. I’m sorry that we’re asking for a little more time than initially planned. Please look forward to other information, including a few trailers at E3. Thank you – Nomura
