You may recall a few years ago when nets went up all around the base of the Tree of Life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom thanks to falling debris from the park icon. Well, Disney’s other man-made tree in Florida is now experiencing the same issues.
Walkways around the lower levels of the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse are now covered by nets to protect guests from any falling pieces of the nearly-47-year-old Adventureland attraction.
There have been no public reports of any debris falling or any guests getting struck, but it seems likely as the reason for the additions based on what happened at Animal Kingdom years ago.
After a few years, the Tree of Life was finally repaired and the paths uncovered. Let’s hope it doesn’t take years to fix the Swiss Family Treehouse and restore the picturesque views.
It’s a pretty ugly sight at the moment.
Yikes… we will keep you updated on this story as it continues to develop.

Was there for Halloween party last October waiting for Moana greet at the landing between the tree house and jungle cruise, and had a four-foot branch fall into the walkway…
Workers must have seen it happen previously, because they were quick to converge and clean up the debris
Wasn’t the tree completely rebuilt in the late 90s? I’d like to say it’s time for another rebuild, but I’m worried it would never come back.
