Visitors to Disney’s Hollywood Studios today were hit with a rude surprise: a massive power outage that has shut down all rides in the park, as well as Walt Disney Presents and most character meet and greets.

As of the writing of this article, according to the My Disney Experience app, currently only Muppet*Vision 3D and Star Wars Launch Bay are running at the moment.

We’ll provide more information on the story as it develops.

UPDATE: As of 8:20 PM, the attractions at Disney’s Hollywood Studios are beginning to reopen. We do not know if all of the attractions will be reopened before the park closes for the evening at 10:30 PM tonight.

Damn! I was one of those five people!
But seriously, I love that theater. One of my favorite attractions!

Everyone knows that the giftshops never loose power in a Disney park as long as you have a dime in your pocket

I was on DME several times yesterday and the only two rides not running were Slinky and ToT. I would think that if the problem affected the entire park including the meet and greets, someone would have called the news and complained ‘I’ve saved for so long and they just RUINED my entire vacation.” I’ve only seen it here so not sure it was that extensive.
