A few weeks ago work began to remove the iconic mirrored tiles on the Universe of Energy building at Epcot. This building, of course, is the future home to a new Guardians of the Galaxy Roller Coaster.
According to the concept art released, the new look of the building will keep most of the old features except for the front mirrored tiling.

As you can tell from the images above, there’s a single portion of tile remaining. The Universe of Energy signage still remains at this point, we’re sure it’ll be removed soon. Stay tuned to WDWNT as we bring you updates about this massive new Epcot attraction.
It’s sad to see the iconic mirrored tiles go. I love Guardians of the Galaxy roller coaster coming to Epcot!
