BREAKING: Best Western Lake Buena Vista Hotel at Disney Springs to Add Second Tower

According to a permit recently filed with the Orange Country Comptroller’s Office, the Best Western Lake Buena Vista Resort, located in the Disney Springs Resort Area at 2000 Hotel Plaza Blvd., is planning to add another hotel tower to its existing property.

As it appears from this aerial view, there is plenty of land around the current hotel tower to accommodate a second tower of similar size. The Amateur Athletic Union building, which was the original WDW Preview Center before Walt Disney World opened, is on the south side of the hotel property, but there seems to be plenty of room on the north side for development. If the new tower would be built on what is currently the parking lot, a new parking lot could easily be constructed further north.

No official announcements have come from Disney or Best Western regarding this new addition, so stay tuned to WDWNT for more information as we receive it.

This news comes on the heels of the announcement of four new hotels at Flamingo Crossings, so it appears that Disney is certainly expecting crowds to increase with the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge late next year.

Disney has also extended the 60-day FastPass booking window and the Extra Magic Hours benefit to guests at Disney Springs Resort Area hotels. Right now, Disney Springs Resort Area hotels are offering some great deals through the end of the summer. Check them out and let Small World Big Fun help you plan your trip!
