PHOTOS: Iconic Mirrored Tiles from Epcot’s Universe of Energy Pavilion Now Completely Removed

We made our way over to Epcot to see construction progress on the new Guardians of the Galaxy roller coaster taking over the old Universe of Energy pavilion. As of tonight,  the iconic mirrored tiles that welcomed guests into the pavilion are completely gone. Take a look at the latest progress:

  1. I will miss Universe of Energy It was my favorite ride in Epcot. I can’t wait for the Guardians of the Galaxy Roller coaster.

  2. I will always miss the original Universe of Energy, especially the songs. I won’t really miss the Ellen version. It was a fun little change for a while, but honestly, it felt dated almost immediately. This pavilion has been in dire need of an update for several years. The new GotG coaster should breathe a little life back into EPCOT. It is great to see management finally giving that park some much needed love. I can’t wait to see what they do.
