Every year as this website grows older, we reflect upon the accomplishments, impact, and incredible growth of WDWNT. It has now been 11 years since WDW News Today launched on July 8th, 2007. What was founded on the website you see before you and built on the back of daily news and information about Walt Disney World is now a vibrant collection of blog posts, videos, podcasts, original programming, & more. I can’t believe it was just 11 years ago that this all began as pretty much the ugliest, most unreadable website you have probably ever seen, and somehow today is read by millions of people every month. Year after year, month after month, our audience is growing, and we’ve even raised over $40,000 for Toys for Tots, which I consider our greatest accomplishment.

Today, we will continue our annual tradition of presenting a special anniversary program at WDWNTunes.com, but this year we are kicking it up a notch by going live for 11 hours. The show begins at 12PM ET and will last until 11PM ET. During this show, we will be making several announcements about the future of WDWNT. We’ll also be interacting with you live through our chat-room and phone lines, taking any questions you may have about the Disney Parks, the Walt Disney Company, or about what we do at WDWNT. We also have a stacked schedule of segments and shows planned for you, as seen below (+ VIDEO indicates that the show will also be on YouTube):

On a personal note, the 11 year journey of this website, the podcast, and the entire family that makes up WDWNT continues to be the greatest experience of my life. I’d like to thank the incredible staff, past and present, that have worked tirelessly to get us where we are today and the loyal readers & listeners who are to thank for our great success. I am very proud of what we have accomplished in this time and amazed at where it has taken me today, moving me across the country to my new home just minutes away from Walt Disney World. From the BREAKING “clickbait” stories, to the WDWNT Podcast, to WDW News Tonight, I have loved every minute of it and wouldn’t trade it for anything, even with the bad. Always informational, sometimes offensive, and with a comedy style all its own, WDWNT is clearly something special that I’m thankful to have in my life. I’m looking forward to many more years of living up to our taglines from today and yesterday, continuing to be “the worldwide leader in Disney Parks news” and “bridging the gaps between you and the world”. As a great song once said, “We’ve just begun to dream!”
