REVIEW: Pecos Bill Brings Spooky and Spicy Treats to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 2018

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party kicked-off this past weekend at Magic Kingdom. Yes, we know it’s August, but that didn’t stop Disney (and us) from celebrating the spookiest time of year. We went to the first party and checked out a bunch of new goodies. First we checked out some cinnamon-based treats at Golden Oak Outpost. You can read that review here. Next up was Pecos Bill with some spicy nachos and a dessert that’s to die for.

Hades Nachos – $12.79

Those are black bean tortilla chips. If you didn’t know better you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between them and regular tortilla chips, besides the color of course. There’s a sizable helping of fiery buffalo chicken served on top of the chips and then the entire entree is smothered in a nacho cheese. For the price this is a gigantic dish that’s easily shareable between two people. Yes, a trip to the fixins bar is included with the purchase. There’s ample spice to the buffalo chicken, giving a great kick with each bite. The nacho cheese on top seems like a lot at first but it really helps bring around the spice of the chicken with the crispness of the chips. It’s a solid, unique, spooky option.

Worms and Dirt – $4.49

Yup, that’s Master Gracey’s tombstone from the Haunted Mansion on top. It’s made of chocolate and melts quick in the Florida heat as we found out. Below the “soil” there’s a helping of chocolate pudding topped with gluten-free cake crumbles. Not to mention the few gummy worms sticking-out on the top. This dessert isn’t jaw-dropping, but it’s certainly fun and tasty. Plus it takes a really great photo!
