Steel Construction Permit Filed for 'Encanto' Ride at Disney's Animal Kingdom

Walt Disney Imagineering has filed another Notice of Commencement for construction at the former DinoLand U.S.A. in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The land is being reimagined into a Tropical Americas area featuring Encanto and Indiana Jones.

Tropical Americas Construction Permit

The new permit is for “General construction” at 504 DinoLand Drive, the approximate location of the new Encanto ride. Walt Disney Imagineering has contracted Coastal Steel Group for the work.

Coastal Steel has also worked on Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, Astro Orbiter, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Disney Cruise Line, and more.

As suggested by the name, the Central Florida company specializes in steel fabrication and erection, indicating this permit is related to steel work. This could include the installation of structural elements, theming, or ride track.

The Encanto ride is set to open with the rest of Tropical Americas in 2027. See more construction updates. Are you excited about the new ride? Let us know on social media.
