The Matterhorn Macaroon is one of the most popular and famous desserts at Disneyland Park. Just when you thought the coconut macaroon shaped like one of the most recognizable peaks in Disney Parks couldn’t get any better, the culinary teams at Disneyland uses it to top a craft donut.
Matterhorn Macaroon Donut – $6.00
Well this time the donut has returned with a twist. Instead of being dipped in white chocolate, this Matterhorn Macaroon is dipped in milk chocolate and Butterfinger crumbles. Also the donut this time around is a chocolate frosted donut instead of a donut with white icing. The donut is also topped with chocolate chip macaroon crumbles, caramel drizzle, coconut shavings, and chunks of Butterfinger bars. It is quite the mix to top a donut with, but it definitely works in the best way possible.

You definitely have to like coconut in order to enjoy this dessert. The caramel drizzle, chocolate and coconut flavors definitely gave Girl Scout Cookie vibes, and I feel like this was what they were going for when creating this version.
In the end, this donut was devoured by the team very quickly. It was a runaway hit and the general consensus was this was a recommend. The gourmet donut costs $6.00 and is available at the Main Street Coffee Cart adjacent to Sleeping Beauty Castle.
Remember the Main Street Coffee Cart features new donuts every Friday, and receives donuts in two shifts each day (shortly after park opening and after 3:00pm). If you happen to be there when this donut is available, definitely make it a point to purchase one.
