It’s been a bit quiet on the Disney cupcake scene lately, especially after that flurry of cupcake releases over this past summer. However, with announcements about Mickey’s 90th birthday celebrations, it was only a matter of time before they released a cupcake just for the occasion!
Well, here it is, folks! Mickey’s 90th Birthday cupcake, in all its colorful, buttercream-y glory:
The concept behind the cupcake, as explained by a Disney Pastry Sous Chef, is that the tiny cake on top is Mickey’s birthday cake. (The missing slice is his!)
The base of the cupcake is red velvet with a chocolate buttercream filling. It’s topped with piped cream cheese buttercream, a tiny fondant cake, chocolate pearls, and glittery white chocolate Mickey balloons.
The cupcake will be available from November 16-18 at the Contempo Café in Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
