REVIEW: Eggnog Latte Cheesecake, Tree Brownie, and More 2018 Holiday Treats at Disneyland’s Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe

Prepare to bring your sweet tooth with you when you visit Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe in Disneyland during this holiday season. Some treats are retreads from previous years while others are brand-new.

Holiday Vanilla Bean Cupcake ($6.99)

This cupcake is a sugar rush and then some. It is filled with red and green chocolate candy pieces and topped with green and white swirled white chocolate mousse and round chocolate swirl candy pieces. It has quite a bit of frosting with a small vanilla cupcake hiding underneath. We would say “pass” on this unless you have a pressing need for sugar or just want a social media worthy picture of a Disney dessert.

Eggnog Latte Cheesecake ($5.79)

This cheesecake was probably our least favorite holiday item from Jolly Holiday. The cheesecake had a strange latte taste mixed with just a hint of eggnog. It really was an odd flavor. Probably not the greatest use of your hard-earned money unless you are a die hard eggnog latte and cheesecake fan.

Holiday Brownie ($4.99)

This brownie comes topped with white chocolate mousse, sprinkles, white chocolate presents, and a festive candy Christmas tree. This was a really solid brownie once you get through the added layers of sugar. Mind you, those layers of sugar make this brownie uncontrollably cute to look at before you eat it. This is definitely a treat you should grab if you like brownies!

Gingerbread Man Cookie ($4.49)

This gingerbread cookie is not to be confused with a ginger snap or ginger crisp styled cookie. It is soft and quite delicious. We’d add in the caveat that you probably would have to be a fan of gingerbread cookies for this cookie to be worthy of buying. Solid cookie though not spectacular.

Snowman Shortbread Cookie ($3.99)

This cookie is a returner from years past. It is simple, but still delicious. The frosting gives the shortbread a sugar cookie like quality that makes this treat one that will be a winner for the entirety of the holiday season.

Caramel Apple Muffin With Streussel ($3.99)

This tender muffin is packed with apple pieces, caramel baked into the bread, and a light streussel on top. If you are a fan of sweet muffins then this item might be up your alley, but if you’re not too big on muffins this is one you can easily skip. While it isn’t a bad item, it isn’t a great item either.

Santa Hat Macaron ($5.99)

This item is also a returner from last year. It is filled with mint and chocolate ganache. If you are a fan of candies akin to Junior Mints then this is the treat for you. On the flip side, if you are not a fan of Junior Mint type candies then this is probably one you can skip without regret.
