A newborn baby was left in the hands of a stranger at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge on Sunday, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. A female guest reported that a woman handed her the infant while she was outside of the lobby, and the mother left the area, said sheriff’s office spokesman Jeff Williamson.
The Deputies responded to the resort around 2:30am. The baby was then brought to Florida Hospital Celebration Health, and found to be in good health.
The child’s mother was later found, and taken to a facility “for evaluation and treatment,” Williamson said. He also mentioned that the Department of Children and Families is aware of the incident.
