This time, we are bringing you a rainy day edition of the photo report. I ventured out to the Disneyland Resort earlier in the week to check out a few new additions.
I love rainy days at the parks! If you prepare properly for it, rainy days can be a lot of fun. Rainy days generally bring lighter crowds and fun photo opportunities.
First stop was World of Disney. In addition to the new snack merchandise we reported on, they also had these cute cupcake socks!
Unfortunately, I could only find two styles in adult sizes.
The rest were in youth sizes.
World of Disney is also carrying the new Alex and Ani snack charm bracelets
I also spotted the new keychain featuring all six Disney Resorts.
Now that I got my merchandise fix, it’s off to the parks.
The downside of rainy days is that some attractions will be closed, including one of my favorites, Alice in Wonderland.
Right around the corner, I was greeted with a heartbreaking sight. The teacup outside of The Mad Hatter is gone!
While I hope this change is only temporary, I fear that it is not. Many guests loved this photo op, especially those unable or unwilling to actually get on the Mad Tea Party. It’s surprising to see it removed.
Sleeping Beauty Castle is closed for major refurbishment, but screens have now been put up to disguise the construction fences and make it a little more thematic.
If we have to deal with construction fences surrounding the castle, I think this is a cute solution.
We previously reported that Monorail Blue had received a new Mickey wrap, and so has Monorail Red.
I love these wraps and like that they each use a different era of Mickey’s look.
To wrap up this rainy day photo report, I will leave you with just that, some rainy day photos!
Cars Land lends to some great rainy day photo opportunities with all the neon signs.
However, the Mad Tea Party will always be my favorite rainy day photo op.
Until next time!
