It was a sad day today inside Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café at the Magic Kingdom. Sonny Eclipse has taken a well-deserved vacation after the holidays. While he’s temporarily out of this world, the main dining room will be getting a much-needed refurbishment.

If there’s a line at the purple wall, you can always head into Cosmic Ray’s to get a selfie at the purple construction wall instead. Walls have been put up inside of the restaurant to close off the main dining room area temporarily. Guests are able to access Bay 1 and Bay 3 to order food, but Bay 2 is completely closed off.

You can see that a tarp has been hung up in that area as well.

Cast members are standing outside, breaking hearts with the news that Sonny Eclipse won’t be giving any concerts until the dining room area has reopened. We’re told they’re probably redoing the floors now that the holiday crowds have died down a little. We could still see tables and chairs set up in the dining room area through the windows, though.
