Construction on Epcot’s upcoming space restaurant is well underway and has been vertical for quite some time now. During our last trip, we noticed even more vertical construction expanding further than the frame that was being put into place last time.
Here is the new wall being build in front of the steel frame. Workers were continuing to lay bricks for the wall. The projection surface will go between the two walls.
Here, you can see the right side of the steel frame and the wall that now sits in front of it.
Here is a look back at the progress of the check-in lobby and elevator areas. Details of the restaurant’s interior describe this area as a lobby where guests can check-in and then board one of two “transportation chambers” that will take them into the space station restaurant above.
The unfinished area to the left has some more tubing, however other than that, this area remains mostly untouched.
Keep an eye on WDWNT for continued construction updates as work begins to speed up on the Space Restaurant and more!
