Stuffed French Toast – $5.50 (Available 2/15-2/18)
Made with french toast batter and filled with tangy raspberry curd, this unique spin on an early morning treat is topped with cinnamon cream cheese frosting and cinnamon sugar. While the french toast concept is accurate due to the batter, there is really nothing in taste that suggests it. That said, the frosting’s sweetness balances excellently with the tart jam – making this the best raspberry cupcake ever tried by this reviewer.
This treat is only available till February 18th, get one ASAP before they’re gone!
Cookie Cupcake – $5.50
Inspired by a recipe in the The Sprinkles Baking Book, this yellow cake is topped with brown sugar frosting, studded with chocolate chips and lined with a cookie crust bottom. With a mega sweet taste and a somewhat dry base, the best way to eat this is to make sure you have a bite of the bottom along with some of the cake. If you wait till the end, you’re going to be left with a dry cookie aftertaste, but with no milk to wash it down.
While this cupcake certainly hits the mark on its intended flavor, Sprinkles offers better flavor combinations (including the one mentioned above!) so give those a try instead. If still interested, it’s available through March 31st.
