We previously announced back in November 2018 that Captain Marvel would be getting her very own meet and greet experience at Disney California Adventure. After patiently waiting, fans are about to come face to face with the Marvel superhero. She will be joining the likes of Captain America and Spider-Man, who already greet guests in Hollywood Land. Here’s a look at the Captain Marvel meet and greet construction currently underway.
Captain Marvel Meet & Greet Construction
Hangar 12 has undergone many transformations over the years, especially through the ElecTRONica and Mad T Party nighttime events. This space has been unused for a while now, but it’s currently undergoing construction for the Captain Marvel meet and greet coming this week. Fans may recognize this area for the infamous “blue wall” and the newly installed Buzz Lightyear Wall, Up Wall, Wall-E Wall, and Mary Poppins Returns Wall. Some areas of the blue wall appear to have been painted over.
Above the entrance to Hangar 12 is a newly installed S.H.I.E.L.D. symbol, featuring the iconic eagle. Instead of permanently painting over the Up and Wall-E Walls, they are being covered up with facades. This leaves them available for future photos, should the Captain Marvel meet and greet remain a limited-time offering.
Captain Marvel hits theaters this Friday, March 8 and this meet and greet construction should be done just in time. If you’d like to rep the Air-Force-pilot-turned-superhero, you can purchase the newest Alex and Ani Bangle or Loungefly backpack. These items are perfect for showing off in your photos with Captain Marvel at Disney California Adventure.
