Mickey Mouse’s 90th birthday has been treating guests well. From merchandise to food, both the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort are celebrating our favorite mouse more than ever. Now, World of Disney in Downtown Disney has a new line of Disney Parks Artist Series Mickey Mouse T-Shirts, which offer a fun, new take on the iconic mouse. These designs are the work of artists with longtime connections to the parks and the Disney brand. While a collection of Disney Parks Artists tees was released earlier this year at Walt Disney World, Disneyland and Disney California Adventure now have their very own set.
Disney Parks Artist Series Mickey Mouse T-Shirts
Disney California Adventure Disney Parks Artist Series Mickey Shirt – $39.99
This design features many staples of Disney California Adventure, such as Carthay Circle, Red Car Trolley, and Grizzly Peak. The artist behind this design is Ron Cohee.
“California or Bust” Disney Parks Artist Series Mickey Shirt – $39.99
Buena Vista Street Disney Parks Artist Series Mickey Shirt – $39.99
When we look at these last two shirts, we can’t help but sing “A Suitcase and A Dream” to ourselves. Both shirts feature Mickey with a suitcase that says “California or Bust!” The artist behind these two designs are Mike Sullivan.
Sleeping Beauty Disney Parks Artist Series Castle Mickey Shirt – $39.99
This shirt is certainly a unique take on the classic photo of Walt Disney walking through Sleeping Beauty Castle. We like the detail of Mickey’s ear doubling as the tunnel through the castle. The artist behind this design is Brian Blackmore.
There’s an interesting weathered or bleached look to these tees as well, adding to their uniqueness.
For those interested in the work of local Disney artists, these new Mickey Mouse T-Shirts are sure to be a wonderful addition to your wardrobe. The material is fairly light, too, so they’ll be useful for the warmer weather we’re heading into.
