ILMxLAB will be hosting an in-depth discussion about their upcoming, highly anticipated virtual reality experience, Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series during Star Wars Celebration Chicago in April.

The panel will take place at the event’s main stage on Friday, April 12, at 1:30pm CST, where core members of the series’ creative team will discuss key details about the first episode. During the discussion panel, attendees will get a first look at the original series coming to the new Oculus Quest VR headset.

After the panel, ILMxLAB and Oculus will open a booth on the show floor where fans can experience a preview of Vader Immortal – Episode I on Oculus Quest. Once the preview experience begins being offered, attendees will have the chance to experience it through the remainder of Star Wars Celebration Chicago.

The first episode of Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series will release this year as a launch title for Oculus Quest, which is still tentatively penned for a spring 2019 release.

Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series will transport players to Vader’s home on Mustafar, where they’ll have the ability to wield a lightsaber and fight the dark lord himself. The series will be canonical, taking place between Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope. The story of the series is set up by the events of Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire, developed by ILMxLab as a location-based VR experience.
