Disney and mobile developer and publisher Glu Mobile Inc. have partnered up to create a brand new RPG for mobile called Disney Sorcerer’s Arena.
The game features many beloved Disney and Pixar characters and throws them into fierce, strategic battle with one another. The game is set to release in beta form in limited territories soon, while an official launch date has yet to be announced.
Disney Sorcerer’s Arena can be played either single-player or in player vs player (PvP), allowing for players to take a more casual approach to the game, or go head-to-head with other players. Each character is suited with a unique skillset and magical spells, making gameplay strategic and offering many ways to play. Players will want to check-in regularly, as daily quests that offer rewards and upgrades will be a great way to become a powerful threat to the competition.
“Disney Sorcerer’s Arena delivers a distinct, high-powered experience that is sure to delight Disney fans and RPG players alike,” said Mike Olsen, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Glu Mobile. “Disney Sorcerer’s Arena has been developed by a talented and creative team who, in close collaboration with Disney, have worked tirelessly to deliver an immersive and stunning game players will love. As we move into the next phase of development, I am incredibly excited today to release a first look into this new world.”
Senior Vice President, Global Games & Interactive Experiences at Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, Sean Shoptaw took to this announcement to say, “Glu is a proven leader in the mobile and strategy-based games space, and their expertise is fully demonstrated with Disney Sorcerer’s Arena.
