Originally scheduled to take place on June 7th and 8th in the Walt Disney Studios park, the all-new event was set to be a celebration of French musicians, artists, and a projection-based graffiti-inspired nighttime spectacle covering the Hollywood Tower Hotel.

It is said that guests who have already purchased tickets to the event have been notified and automatically refunded. So far, no reason has been announced for the cancellation, but it is not unreasonable to think that certain hip hop music and lyrics might not exactly mesh with the Disney brand image. Event registration might have also been low.

The ticket ordering page now states the following:

Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, Hip-Hop Live Experience Disney will no longer take place this year. We will be contacting all ticket holders regarding their refund shortly.

Hip-Hop Live Experience Disney 2019 sees some of biggest hip hop artists gather at Disneyland Paris of a musical experience like no other.

Over two evenings the Walt Disney Studios Park will be home to a special hip hop party, including music and dance performances, street art expos (including a freestyle graffiti takeover of The Hollywood Tower) and more.

In addition to the likes of rap stars such as Dadju, Vegedream, Black M and more, expect to meet your favourite cast of Disney characters and a hip hop rendition of the Disney parade.

Of course, there are other Disneyland Paris music festivals still due to go ahead. Disney Loves Jazz will take place on June 15th, and a jungle-themed Electroland from July 5th-7th. Magical Pride will also take place on June 1st, so it still looks set to be a busy summer in the resort!
