REVIEW: Specialty Easter Bunny Petit Cake and Bunny Macaron at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs

Easter Sunday is right around the corner, and celebrations are officially in full swing at the Walt Disney World Resort, which means TREATS. Lots and lots of Easter-themed treats. I stopped by Amorette’s Patisserie at Disney Springs to try their two new Easter offerings, available through April 24th.

First up is this cute little Bunny Petit Cake. It’s a carrot cake layered with pineapple pâte de fruit and cream cheese mousse.

I’m not usually a huge fan of carrot cake, but this is one I would get again. The flavor of the pineapple pâte de fruit paired really well with the cinnamon flavor in the carrot cake, and the cream cheese frosting was perfectly chilled underneath a very thin layer of fondant. An interesting detail about this cake though, while all of the decorations that made up the face of the bunny were made of chocolate and fondant, the pink ribbon around the base of the cake was a real, fabric ribbon. Make sure you remove that before you dig in. The Bunny Cake is priced at $16, but is the perfect size for sharing.

Next up is this Bunny Macaron, which is equal in cuteness to the Bunny Cake, but doesn’t even come close in taste. It’s a macaron lollipop filled with chocolate strawberry ganache, but I didn’t taste any strawberry flavoring at all, and honestly, the chocolate filling had the same consistency and taste as plain chocolate pudding. The macaron itself was very dry and crumbled to bits upon the first bite as well. This is a treat I would not get again, even with its extremely aesthetically pleasing appearance. The macaron is priced at $5.

I know the cake is a bit more of an expensive offering than the macaron, but it’s well worth it, in my opinion, as the cake is easily shared between two people.

You can find both treats at Amorette’s Patisserie at Disney Springs now through April 24th.
