Another specialty Easter treat has arrived, this time at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort, French Quarter and Riverside.
This was a vanilla-flavored cupcake, filled with chocolate salted caramel mousse, topped with buttercream grass and nest shaped frosting, and sugar printed eggs.
If you’re on a quest to try all the Easter themed treats this year, this is one I would recommend skipping. The cake was incredibly dry, and while I did appreciate that it was generously filled with the chocolate salted caramel mousse, it wasn’t enough to turn this cupcake into a win for me. The flavoring of the mousse left lots to be desired with the supposed caramel, and tasted more like the chocolate buttercream frosting that topped the cake. The eggs in the nest were pure, printed sugar.
This cupcake was priced at $5.49 and can be found at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory at Port Orleans French Quarter, Riverside Mill Food Court at Port Orleans Riverside, and also Centertown Market at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort through April 22nd.
