REVIEW: Orange Bird Cupcake Lands at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort

Orange Bird has been getting so much love lately! It’s been a nice change to see some more unique characters represented in snacks lately. When we heard about the Orange Bird cupcake, we flew right over to check it out.

The new Orange Bird Cupcake can be found at the Artist’s Palette at Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa for $5.99. It’s described as a vanilla cupcake topped with white chocolate mousse and filled with Florida Fresh Scented Whipped Cream.

The cupcake is topped by a bright orange mound of white chocolate mousse and a squiggle of green frosting for the leaves. White chocolate crispy pearls line the edge of the cupcake and the beak is also white chocolate. It looks a little strange without any eyes, though. Maybe it’s weirder I want my food to have a face.

The cupcake is a soft vanilla cake. It’s pretty plain, but it’s good. The white chocolate taste isn’t very strong, and the mousse isn’t very sweet, either. It tasted more like a light and airy whipped frosting than a mousse.

In the center of the cake is a whipped cream filling. The Florida fresh scented whipped cream is absolutely incredible. It’s disappointing there isn’t more. The cream has a smooth texture, with a very light, citrus taste. The flavor is so subtle, but it’s amazing. I guess “Florida Fresh” really is the best way to describe this filling. I’m just disappointed there isn’t more.
