Ever since 2010, we’ve been the home of WDWNTunes––but that’s about to change. Thanks to a sizable investment from Universal Parks & Resorts, at midnight on April 1st, WDWNTunes will now become UniversalTunes!

“Everyone talks about how much they like the music from the Disney Parks, so we decided to get in the music game too!” Universal Parks executive April Fuhls said in a statement released this Monday morning. “There’s nothing they can do that we can’t do poorly. Or sometimes we do it better than expected. It’s kind of a toss, really.”

“This will be a wonderful new addition to the Universal portfolio, and will hopefully distract people from Galaxy’s Edge.” Fuhls continued. “Then again, we wouldn’t be Universal if we didn’t immediately replace it with something more hip and trendy, at least according to our charts. Which means you should look forward to FastAndFuriousTunes, coming soon. And stop bothering me about Jaws! It’s not coming back. Get over it!”

Here’s how you can listen to this totally permanent new radio station!

  1. I hate you! I thought it was a joke, but had to read it twice. I skimmed to the end looking for April Fool’s. So had to read it again while worrying wdwnt would start pumping out daily Universal park reports! With the huge investment they made, sounds like y’all might need to hire some more staff? 😂😂

  2. This was a good April Fool’s joke! And thorough, too. I clicked on the radio not expecting it to actually play Universal music, but it did. I know this is a Disney site, but maybe having Universal music added into the WDWNTunes playlist on a permanent basis wouldn’t be such a bad thing.
