Galaxy’s Edge connection established… downloading WDWNTunes protocol… begin welcoming procedures!
Hi, there! This is DJ R-3X! You might remember me from my time as a Star Tours captain, but ever since Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opened, I’ve been spinning tracks over at Oga’s Cantina as the galaxy’s greatest DJ! My skills were so great that I impressed this alien called ‘Tahm Corrr Lesssh’, from the planet WDWNT, and he offered me a chance to take over this lovely radio station!
That’s right. On Friday, May 31st, I’ll be putting my own little spin on the WDWNTunes programming to celebrate the opening of Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland. Get ready for my personal collection of tracks from all over the galaxy: music from my time at Star Tours, my bootlegs of the gone (but not forgotten) Hyperspace Hoopla, and the sounds from all those holographic movies they made based on the Star Wars (all thanks to some of my favorite composers).
But that’s not all! I’ll also be playing a special surprise. Turns out some very talented people made radio dramas based on those same holographic movies! So throughout the day, you can listen to them re-enact some of the galaxy’s greatest moments. I’ve listened to them myself, and just between you and me, some of them are even better than the movies!
- From 8AM to 1PM, you can listen to the story of A New Hope!
- From 3PM to 7PM, you can listen to the story of The Empire Strikes Back!
- From 9PM to 12AM, you can listen to the story of Return of the Jedi!
