PHOTOS, VIDEO: Character Gondolas Uncovered for the Disney Skyliner at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Earlier this week, we saw the first Character Gondola (Goofy & Pals) make its big debut thanks to a torrential storm that passed through Orlando. Now, Disney has offered us a more deliberate view at the rest of the character gondolas on the Hollywood Studios line. All of the tarps are finally off, and the characters are in full view! Check out the designs we saw below.

Donald, Daisy, Scrooge McDuck, and Huey, Dewey, and Louie

In a scene right out of DuckTales, Scrooge swims in a sea of gold coins while peering down at guests.

Stitch

Stitch has left paw prints all over his brightly-colored gondola. He’s not shy when it comes to literally pointing at guests, either. We need the two-claw point, Stitch!

While other gondolas feature a variety of characters, this one really just showcases Experiment 626 in all his charming glory.

Peter Pan, Wendy, and Friends

Wendy, John, and Michael look down excitedly upon guests while sailing in Peter Pan’s floating ship. You can see Peter on the side there, looking down like a captain.

Mr. Smee making sure guests are following the right coordinates.

Finding Nemo

Nemo and friends float in their big blue world of a gondola. With the bright orange backdrop, we love how cheery this one is.

There’s also a bright yellow version of the gondola, with Hank peeking out the back.

Goofy and Pals

Here’s the same Goofy & Pals gondola we saw earlier this week, but with a yellow gondola exterior (as opposed to the green.) In any case, it’s always a pleasure to see Clarabelle and Horace.

Pluto

Pluto seems a bit worried floating up that high in the sky. Don’t worry, Pluto! Trips are just 5 to 15 minutes max, depending on your location.

Snow White

Dopey peers down from the jewel-filled mine.

Grumpy doesn’t look as happy to be in the gondola, but that’s expected. Sleepy’s, well… sleepy.

Frozen

Sven and Kristoff seem happy to welcome guests to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, although that’s probably because they’re in a far cooler space.

A cool, snow-filled wonderland is exactly what the gondolas aren’t.

The Princess and the Frog

Here’s something more accurate. You’ll be rollin’ down de bayou in your cute little swampy Skyliner buggy.

I’ll scream once I finally get to ride the Mama Odie gondola, though.

Wreck-It Ralph 2

Star Wars

Toy Story

Monsters, Inc.

Hundred Acre Wood

Guardians of the Galaxy

Coco

Haunted Mansion

Beauty and the Beast

Ratatouille

Moana

Pirates of the Caribbean

Zootopia

The Skyliner Gondola is set to open this Fall, but with character gondolas finally revealed and the line in full testing, you could say it’s in full swing. We’re hopeful for an even earlier opening now. Below, check out our video of all the gondolas in action!

Are they testing the full length of the system or still just on the Hollywood Studios leg?

The lines are all separate, but not all are testing yet.

Does that mean that The line from AoA to The Caribbean Beach resort stops there, and you need to get on a different gondola to continue to Riviera, and then another to get to Epcot?

There are three separate lines:
CBR AoA/Pop
CBR DHS
CBR IG @ Epcot (via Riviera)

If you arrive at CBR and it’s not your final destination, you will need to change lines to continue on.
You only need to exit at Riviera if that is your destination, otherwise you stay on to continue to CBR or Epcot (depending on direction of travel).

Love the Haunted Mansion themed one!! Also love (heavy sarcasm) how they pretty much stick with all classic Disney animation except for the horrible new Mickey, Minnie and Goofy.
